HEAT KILLS BY TAXING THE HUMAN BODY BEYOND ITS ABILITIES. NORMALLY... THE BODY DISSIPATES HEAT BY VARYING THE RATE AND DEPTH OF BLOOD CIRCULATION...BY LOSING WATER THROUGH THE SKIN AND SWEAT GLANDS...AND AS THE LAST RESORT BY PANTING WHEN BLOOD IS HEATED ABOVE 98.6 DEGREES. EAT SMALL MEALS AND EAT MORE OFTEN. FOODS (LIKE PROTEINS) THAT INCREASE METABOLIC HEAT PRODUCTION ALSO INCREASE WATER LOSS.

DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AND AVOID DRINKS WITH ALCOHOL OR CAFFEINE IN THEM. REMEMBER...YOUR BODY NEEDS WATER TO REMAIN COOL. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS EVEN IF YOU DON'T FEEL THIRSTY.

ENJOY AN AFTERNOON MOVIE OR GO SHOPPING AT YOUR LOCAL RETAIL OUTLET. IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD AN AIR CONDITIONER...USE ELECTRIC FANS TO CIRCULATE THE AIR. REMEMBER THOUGH...FANS DO NOT COOL THE AIR... THEY DO HOWEVER HELP SWEAT EVAPORATE WHICH COOLS YOUR BODY. IN ADDITION...EVEN SPENDING SOME TIME IN AN AIR CONDITIONED PLACE THROUGHOUT THE DAY AFFORDS SOME PROTECTION.
